1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how PirateRadio collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information through the PirateRadio website, waitlist forms, checkout flows, SMS program, and related launch-access communications. It does not replace any separate in-app privacy disclosures that may apply to the Mac, iPhone, or iPad versions of PirateRadio.
2. Categories of Personal Information Collected
Depending on how you interact with PirateRadio, we may collect identifiers and contact information such as your name, email address, phone number, transaction details, platform interest, creator role, and any other information you choose to submit in a form or message.
We may also collect internet or network activity information, such as basic device, browser, and interaction data, and we may store essential consent preferences and form-progress data locally on your device so your choices are remembered between visits.
3. Sources of Personal Information
We collect personal information directly from you, automatically from your device or browser when you use the site, and from service providers that help us process orders, manage communications, or operate the website.
4. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to operate the website, manage waitlist submissions, process purchases and launch access, respond to inquiries, send administrative messages, send marketing emails or SMS messages where you have opted in, maintain records of consent, detect misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use non-essential analytics or marketing storage in this build unless and until those tools are added and deployed in a privacy-compliant manner.
5. SMS Program Privacy Disclosures
If you opt in to receive text messages from PirateRadio, we may use your phone number and related consent records to send you recurring marketing, transactional, or support-related SMS messages consistent with your consent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
SMS consent is not shared with third parties for those third parties' own marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS use are used to operate the SMS program, maintain consent records, and deliver or support the requested messaging services.
For the terms governing the SMS program, please review the Terms and Conditions.
6. Disclosure of Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to vendors and service providers that help us host the site, manage forms, process transactions, send emails, deliver SMS messages, provide customer support, prevent fraud, or maintain our systems. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, financing, or asset transfer.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
Essential storage is used to remember consent choices and keep the waitlist flow stable. Analytics and marketing categories are off by default in this build. If future deployment adds tracking or retargeting technologies, this policy and the consent flow should be updated before activation.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the website and communications, manage purchases and waitlist records, fulfill support needs, maintain consent records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
9. Your Choices
You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message. You may opt out of marketing SMS by replying STOP. You may still receive transactional or service-related messages where permitted. You can also adjust browser settings that affect cookies or local storage.
10. California Privacy Notice
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information where applicable.
PirateRadio does not sell personal information for money. PirateRadio also does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising based on the current build of this site. If that changes, this notice and any required choice mechanisms must be updated before the change takes effect.
We collect the categories of personal information described in this policy for the business and commercial purposes described above. We disclose those categories to service providers and contractors that help us operate the website, transactions, communications, and support functions.
11. Exercising Privacy Rights
To exercise privacy rights applicable under law, you may submit a request to Ahoy@MyPirateRadio.live. We may need to verify your request before taking action. You may also designate an authorized agent where permitted by law.
12. Minors
PirateRadio is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact PirateRadio at Ahoy@MyPirateRadio.live so the information can be reviewed and deleted as appropriate.
13. International Visitors
If PirateRadio operates in multiple regions, personal information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, PirateRadio will rely on appropriate safeguards and legal mechanisms for international transfers.
14. Changes to This Policy
PirateRadio may update this Privacy Policy as the product, infrastructure, vendors, or legal obligations change. The revised version becomes effective when posted with a new update date.
